How much does YoDJ cost?

YoDJ is free to use for both DJs and their audiences

How do I get DJ access?

Visit the link here to schedule a DJ setup meeting. In the meeting, we will cover how to use YoDJ and setup your DJ account.

How do I create an event?

Navigate to the My Events page from the Menu icon. Click “Create event.” There you will be able to fill in the details of your event.

Do I have to play every request?

No, you decide what you want to play. You can reject or accept any request. The decision is yours.

How do I create a handle?

Navigate to the Setting page from the Menu icon. There you will find a box where you can set your handle. We recommend you set your handle to match your DJ name.

How do I setup tipping in my event?

You must setup a stripe account to accept tipped requests. Navigate to the Settings page from the Menu icon. Click “Set up new payment account”. There you will be prompted to fill out information for your stripe account.

How will I be paid?

Stripe will automatically pay you out on a weekly basis. The payments are processed on Mondays and will hit your bank account within 2-3 days.

Do I need to create an account to use YoDJ?

No, you can send song requests without an account.

What if I can’t find the song I want to request?

If your song is not found, a “custom request” option will be displayed.

If I request a song, does that mean my song will be played?

No, it is up to the discretion of the DJ whether they will end up playing your song request.

If I send a tipped request and the DJ rejects my song, will I still be charged?

No, only tipped requests that have been played will be charged.

How can I use Spotify to send requests?

First, create a YoDJ account. Navigate to settings. You will find the option to connect your Spotify account. Once connected, whenever you try requesting a song, you will see the option to choose songs from your Spotify playlists.

Is there a limit to number of requests I can send?

No, you can send as many request as you choose. (Be mindful the DJ can only play so many songs so please don’t spam the request bin)
